Profile: Tom Wilkinson-Gamble

Hello everybody! I’m Tom and this year I’ll be serving as your new Vice-Chair.

My job as vice-chair is to assist the chair with the day-to-day running of the society, as well as to create and teach the language classes. Unlike previous years, I’m planning to take a more traditional approach to the language classes, with a heavy focus on grammar and comprehension. These classes won’t be easy, but if you can stick through with them, you’ll be well on your way to learning Japanese.

I’m also in charge of maintaining and running the blog that you’re reading this post on. I hope to upload regularly with articles on a wide range of topics. If you would like to contribute an article to the blog, please contact us here

Personally, I’m mostly interested in the more serious side of Japanese culture: history, literature, politics, etc. Although, I still enjoy a good J-horror and mystery novel.

I look forward to working with everyone and good luck with your Japanese studies!
